When we look around us, it's easy to see that things are not as they should be. There is a growing disparity of wealth and resources, relationships are being divided across cultural and racial structures, people are yearning for change...
At Experience Mission we believe that our job as Christians is to be people of hope in the midst of hopelessness. We seek to live out this message of hope by empowering local communities, raising up leaders to develop and refine their community visions, and mobilizing volunteers to come and experience this powerful change taking place.
There are many practical ways that you can become involved. You can join one of our short term mission trips or one of our 3-6 month Immersion programs. Whether one week or six months, Christian mission trips are about connecting with what God is doing around the world. Maybe you are interested in a college internship? You can also donate toward our Education or Microloan Initiatives. Each of these practical activities are designed to spread the life giving hope that comes from our Creator. This is our mission. We invite you to join us.
Experience Mission organizes short term mission trips for people of all ages. Youth mission trips are the most common, but in addition to mission trips for youth, we also organize mission trips for college students, adults, and families. Because we have so much interest in college mission trips, we provide spring break mission opportunities. Our spring trips are open to people of all ages, but they are ideal for college students looking to do something meaningful for spring break.
How long are Experience Mission trips?
Our mission trip program consists of mostly one week trips with an occasional ten day or two week trip. EM's Immersion program is geared toward ages 18-30 and consists of 3 month and 6 month opportunities to travel to Africa or the Caribbean. Immersion is less task oriented than a typical mission trip because the primary goal is cultural immersion and relational interaction.
